Gallavanting around

G'day

I have been all OVER the place. You would all be so impressed! I have done loads and seen loads, and eaten more, and fell out of a plane, and been to the rainforest and been to the city. Been in the hot and been in the cold! Been bitten to death by mossies! Been frozen to death by Melbourne! Seen new friends and old friends and all sorts all over the place.

Did you know that the moon sets? I saw my first one when Carl was visiting! It is the coolest thing you will ever see!

I went sky diving and my top fell off. Cairns got a big shock that day. I don't think anyone is allowed to watch the dvd now. Its probably illegal or something.

I have done so much but i can't think of it all right now - so when i remember i will tell you all.

Hello, i am still alive.

Bonjour

It is i. I am still here! stop panicking.
I have been devising a plan in my cave these past couple of weeks!
I tried Scuba diving the other day. Lets just say, we didn't get on like a house on fire. More like a house drowning. In pain. I will give it another go when i get my hearing back and i stop leaking sea water and releasing air from my ears, like a cartoon character when they get angry and steam comes out.

So, i digress. My plan.

I am escaping to Melbourne next week. I am going to go to the cinema as much as physically possible. There is no cinema even close to where i live. Mistake really. I would solely keep them in business. Must see the new star trek movie otherwise i will feel incomplete.

Anyway. Thats the plan. Melbourne and lots of cinema.

Bet you were all dying to hear that.

Its very hot here. I think i am going out to sea on Monday which will be nice, not been out for a few weeks now. I beginning to get land legs.

Back to the beginning

I AM BACK IN AIRLIE AND AM SO HAPPY TO BE BACK!!

The sun is out. its about 30 degrees, and there is a lovely breeze. The sea is bright blue and i have normal hair again! Things couldn't be better!

I am going on another sailing course on Monday! I am also going to get my power boat license! How exciting, bet you are all very jealous. haha. Not too sure what to do with my power boating license, but still. I am totally going to frame all of these certificates, take down the tv in the living room and nail them all up in the middle of the night. Mum and dad will be so impressed. I will put it next to the photo of simon getting his masters and say, " who needs a masters from Cambridge, when you can have a bloody power boat license!" Then i will laugh like this, HA HA HA HAW HAW HAW HEE HAW HAW (like a french person)

exciting stuff!!

From the way things are going, i may well be a day skipper by the time i get home. Then i really will be laughing. hahahahaha

In other news, There was another cyclone, but it missed me. Thankfully. It took me longer to get from New Zealand to Australia than it did to get from England. I will detail my movements for you all, so you can imagine it, just the way it happened.

5pm got on the bus from Auckland to airport, got attacked by a wasp.

8pm fly from Auckland to Christchurch. Arrived about 10pm. It was FREEZING!!!
10pm - 4am nothing. nothing nothing. I had to sleep on the floor of the airport in the arrivals hall, with my towel as a blanket, and with my feet on my rucksack so that no one would swipe my dirty clothes. I must say, it was terribly uncomfortable. I almost rejoiced when the cafe opened at 5am.

6am Fly from Christchurch to Brisbane. Arrived Brisbane 7am (3 hour time difference)
It was raining and raining hard. Had to get the train to the domestic terminal.

7am - 5pm NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING!!! aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

9pm got back to Airlie. and passed out!

so there you go. Imagine what you will, with that thrilling breakdown

Photos and pest control

i have finally put some photos up!

Look at them! Study them! There will be a test when i get home.

i had a very funny day in Auckland yesterday. Me and my new friend Helen walked around the WHOLE of Auckland. About 3 times! We only intended to go round once - but our map was definitely wrong. We got slight misguided. And when i say slightly, i mean we went round in circles. Also we had to share a room with3 of the biggest geeks you could EVER imagine! We got the giggles so badly outside the door we couldn't go into the room for ages! Every time we thought of them we were in hysterics. It didn't help much when they told us they were in NZ to do voluntary conservation work, planting trees, putting up signs and pest control. We nearly died, and had to leave the room immediately. I was worried they might beat us to death with their Jesus sandals in the night!

Anyway, I am waiting in Auckland for my flight back to Australia. I leave tonight to Christchurch - then on to Brisbane and then Airlie.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPOON

Taupo - Auckland - Paihia

Hellooo,

Taupo was awesome! I saw Mount Doom from LOTR. It was really sunny, and i laid by the massive lake Taupo all afternoon! The next morning i travelled up to Auckland. It was pouring with rain! I had a little look round the city, went to see Slumdog Millionaire at the cinema, ate a lot of free pizza and drank lots of beer. The morning after that we travelled up to Paihia - the bay of islands. It was bloody hot again - so we all laid by the lake and had a big sun bathe, which was nice. Then today, i went on a massive tour to the very very northern tip of NZ! It was very cool. We drove down the 90 mile beach - which isn't actually 90 miles, its more like 60, but the bus drove us all the way along the beach, ON THE SAND AND IN THE SEA!! Then we stopped by the maHOUSIVE sand dune. Out we get, get our body boards out of the boot and TREK it up the sand mountain. I almost passed out at the top, my lungs were actually on fire, i had to stand away from everyone, as it was very hot and there was a chance i could have started a forest fire. Then once i could manage to breathe without killing my fellow humans, i bloody jumped on the body board and ZOOMED (and i mean ZOOOOMED) down the sand dune. At speeds of up to 60km an hour, and also on fire, it was a spectacular sight! I managed to sand of the tops of my feet, due to the speed x velocity = PAIN. LOTS OF PAIN. But it was really good fun, plus i ended up in a river at the end of it and put out my lungs.

Tomorrow i am off back to Auckland. Apparently there is a cyclone in Airlie - so i left at a brilliant time!
